I decided not to blog during my DS's deployment. I was so afraid if I wrote about the number of items I was knitting and sewing it might be an indicator of information that could compromise the safety of DS and his troops. He has safely returned, so I have decided to return to my very sporadic blogging.

This lovely assortment of yarn and thread is a prize I won from the December Atmyhouse contest sponsored by Flo at Elmore-Pisgah Yarn. I really love this prize! I am very anxious to work with the rayon thread (sapphire, lower left) and rayon chenille(middle row, second from the right). I have been a customer of Elmore Pisgah for years, but these are two products I have never tried. Thank you, Nina and Flo!

While my son was "away" I made washcloths from the Peaches and Creme worsted weight cotton and sent them in each care package. My son loved them! They were perfect for skin care in dust storms.

Moc a Socks

I recently finished a pair of Moc-a-Socks, Bekah Knits, for our neighbor's first born son. I used Telemark yarn from Knit Picks and size 2 straight and double pointed needles.
